Another successful club day was held last weekend, with swimmers afforded the opportunity to gain last minute Metro qualifying times. I’m pleased to report that 4 swimmers, Taylor Pascale, Bilal Dannoui, Alana Turella and recently joined Murray Edstein were able to do just that.

Congratulations to these and all our metro swimmers and we wish you all the best for the upcoming championships. Club days cannot run without the support and help of all parents and I would like to thank the volunteers of the day. If everyone shares the load at club days and external meets, the task is lessened for everybody.

• Alison and Steve Purcell were our referee and starter for the day.
• Mary Walsh and Marika Livianis helping out with race seeding, desk duty and checking qualifying times.
• Colin Street as our Marshall.
• Our timekeepers (if you missed out, it will be your turn next time!), with whom we were able to man 3 timekeepers per lane, ensuring our kids had the best possible chance of qualifying.

We also had quite a few new members swimming at their first MLC Marlins Club day. To these people I say Welcome and encourage you to get involved.

Tony Sarno spent the day busily snapping away and the pictures are all available for viewing on the web-site.

Our next club day is scheduled for the 24th July, so put it in your diary and come along.
