Report by head coach John Bladon

The MLC Marlins had another successful Winter State Age Championships, finishing 2nd behind SLC Aquadot. The championships had 155 clubs and 1408 swimmers competing. Congratulations to everyone.

I would like to thank all the coaches and parents that have supported the swimmers. Qualifying for this standard is a creditable achievement. Finishing top ten and winning medals is an outstanding achievement. Everyone at the Centre and the club plays a part in this successful team. The positive attitude and support is the key to the club's success.

Kailah Elliott performed well at her last State championships as an MLC Marlins swimmer. Kailah has been with the MLC Marlins for over two years. Kailah holds many club records and is in the MLC Marlins Hall of fame.
She has left the MLC Marlins swim Team "due to change of lifestyle within my family". She said: "It has become quite difficult for my parents to get to MLC. Ashfield is easier, being close to my school".

Kailah said she has been proud to represent the MLC Marlins and thanked Pancha & John Bladon for their coaching input. Kailah wishes to thank everyone else involved with the club that has supported her. I am sure we all wish her all the best in the future. I will miss her.

A letter to the club is displayed on the notice board.
