Ranked 11th in the 50m Butterfly, Tim swam a personal best time in the heats to qualify 5th fastest for the semi final. In the semi Tim then improved on his heat swim to qualify 5th for the final.

When asked the secret of his success and how he prepares for the final swims, Tim said: “as far as preparation goes my approach is a bit unorthodox!”

Tim finished 6th in the final, swimming a time of 24.73, behind former world record holder and champion Matt Welsh, last years World Championship 4th placegetter Joshua Taylor and Australian representatives Andrew Richards & Adam Pine. His times were: 50m Butterfly Heat: 24.56; Semi: 24.49, Final: 24.73.

Tim also swam personal bests in his other swims: 100m Butterfly 57.74, 35th, (IPS 671); 50m Freestyle, 23.81, 38th.

Sylwia swam a personal best time in the 50m Free: 26.73. Recovering from a cold at the start of the meet Sylwia managed two good swims, in the 800m: 10th 8.47.39(IPS 833); and in the 400m: 4:16.78, 12th, (IPS 841).

Sylwia swam an international point score, (I.P.S.) of 833 in the 800m free. This was the highest of all the MLC Marlins swims. The I.P.S. score can be calculated by using the top ten recorded times in the world in that event. The score compares scores from different events, and is used to judge the best swim of the meet.
