State Open Report
The NSW State Open championships attracted some
of the best swimmers in Australia. A number
of overseas teams and squads competed including teams
from New Zealand, Great Britain, Japan and
Norway. The standard was very high with a
World Record to Eamon Sullivan in the 50m Freestyle
on Sunday night being the highlight.
Marlins swimmers competed well.
The competition had both 'A' and 'B' finals.
With the meet containing stars such as
Leisel Jones, Grant Hacket, Alice Mills, Jennifer Reilly,
Stephanie Rice, Brenton Rickard and Jessica Schipper making a
'B' final was a considerable achievement.
